Our routine floor cleaning maintenance program is designed to clean and maintain all types of domestic and commercial flooring. ClearView carry out daily and periodic cleaning on various types of floors that require various maintenance processes. This is so we are able to protect the life and look of the floor.

Marble, Limestone, Travertine and Terrazzo floor cleaning and restoration

  • Daily maintenance: – First of all; dust mop, damp mop or burnish with neutral detergent and white polishing pad
  • Periodic maintenance: – Subject to site survey

Terracotta floor cleaning

  • Daily maintenance: – Firstly; dust mop and then damp mop / burnish with white polishing pad
  • Periodic maintenance: – In most cases; strip the existing wax or emulsion finish. Then apply terracotta impregnator and Terracotta seal or wax finish

Sand and York stone floor cleaning and restoration

  • Daily maintenance: – First of all; dust mop and then damp mop with a neutral detergent
  • Periodic maintenance: – Machine scrub floor and in addition apply stone seal

Slate floor cleaning and restoration

  • Daily maintenance: – Start by dust mopping, then damp mopping with Alkaline cleaner then rinse
  • Periodic maintenance: – Subject to site survey

Victorian and Edwardian geometric floor tile cleaning and restoration

Geometric tile patterns became popular in the Victorian and Edwardian periods. As a result they are now widely used in restoring and re-creating the historic splendour of British and colonial period properties.

Geometric floor tiles are typically used for:

1     front paths or
2     steps and porches or
3     entrance halls or
4     conservatories, patios and verandas or
5     kitchens and bathrooms

In the non-residential sector, Victorian tile patterns can be seen in churches, hotels, public houses and restaurants.

  • Daily maintenance: – Firstly, dust mop then damp mop with a Neutral cleaner
  • Periodic maintenance: – Subject to site survey

Quarry tile floor cleaning

  • Daily maintenance: – Start by dust mopping. Follow this with damp mopping / burnishing with a white polishing pad
  • Periodic maintenance: – Machine scrub floor with stone cleaner, burnish with floor maintainer / not recommended but a water based seal can be applied if requested to produce a sheen

Ceramic floor tile cleaning

  • Daily maintenance: – First of all; dust mop then damp mop with a Neutral cleaner
  • Peridic maintenance: – Machine scrub floor and apply floor sealer

Wood floor cleaning

Wood is divided into two classifications, soft woods or hard woods and then can be divided into four main laying categories: –

1 Strip and board
2 Wood block
3 Parquet
4 Mosaic and end grain paving

  • Daily Maintenance Process: – Start with a dust mop then a damp mop or burnish
  • Periodic Maintenance Process: – (Every 6 – 12 months) Spray clean floor, apply 3 coats of polish or wax to floor

Laminate floor cleaning

  • Daily Maintenance Process: – Most importantly; dust and damp mop floor with a neutral detergen
  • Periodic Maintenance Process: – As above

Vinyl floor cleaning, stripping and sealing

  • Daily Maintenance Process: – Firstly, dust mop the floor. Once this is done damp mop the floor with a neutral detergent
  • Periodic Maintenance Process: – Machine scrub floor to strip old seal and polish coats, then apply 1 – 2 seal coats and 2 – 3 coats of polish. Note drying times between coats are between 20 – 30 minutes

Linoleum floor cleaning, stripping and sealing

  • Daily Maintenance Process: – First of all; dust mop then damp mop or burnish
  • Periodic Maintenance Process: – Machine scrub floor to strip old seal and  apply 1 – 2 seal coats and 2 – 3 coats of polish

Karndean and Amtico floor cleaning

  • Daily Maintenance Process: – Start by dust mopping. Then go onto damp mopping the floor. This is then followed by the application of a Karndean Routine Cleaner
  • Periodic Maintenance Process: – (Every 6 months) Machine scrub floor, stripping away the existing seal, polish and dirt with Karndean Basic Cleaner then apply 2 coats of Karndean Dim Glow Hard Sealer to the floor area

Safety floor cleaning

  • Daily Maintenance Process: – Firstly; dust mop. Secondly; damp mop or burnish. For this process a alkaline detergent should be used and then rinsed thoroughly
  • Periodic Maintenance Process: – Machine scrub floor to strip old seal and polish coats, then apply 1 – 2 seal coats and 2 – 3 coats of polish
